Green Smoothies have enabled me to take my raw food health to the next level. I was inspired to start consuming green delicious smoothies by one of my favorite people Victoria Boutenko. She is great at finding answers to better and better health.

Vibrant Health with Delicious Green Smoothies, Victoria found, was the missing link in human nutrition. Through the research she found on wild chimpanzees, one of our closed human relative was their 40% green diet.
Chimps consume approx: - 50% Fruits
- 40% Greens And Blossoms

How Do You Get More Greens And Make Them Tasty?
When Victoria first told me of this back in 2005 I was not sure I could really enjoy green smoothies. Now I love greens so much I munch on the bottoms of kale and for me it is like pretzels. Getting Over The Green Flavor And Look: I found one way I found to get more greens in my diet was to start with less greens and lots of sweet fruit in the beginning. Over time increase the amount of greens until you reach 60% sweet or non-sweet fruit base and 40% green base. Blueberries will mask the green look.

Importance of Blending: Victoria found that the nutrients within the greens plant are contained with outer cellulose. The Cellulose is extremely tough in order to survive. To release all the valuable nutrients from within the cells, the cell walls need to be ruptured.
Chewing greens until mush is the only way to release the nutrients of the green plant. Next, once the nutrients are released now your body must be able to digest the minerals and vitamins from the plant.
Due to our lack of chewing over time our teeth are week and we are not in the habit to chew enough. Our hydrochloric acid is also week due to our lack of nutrients with in our diet, including greens.
